Yes, all it took to make Nasser al-Omar cry is a few tweets by Hamza Kashghari who later apologized and deleted his controversial tweets. Who knew the bearded sheikh can suddenly get all emo? What he says about how an incident like this is what feeds extremism in the country is complete BS. It is al-Omar and people like him who feed extremism with their actions and rhetoric, they feed extremism by using religion to score points and make political gains. They are pathetic. They feel they are losing their firm grip on society, they are desperate to cling to power.

UPDATE: Guess who else is also crying? Information minister Abdul Aziz Khoja. He cried because he was so upset, he tweeted. It seems that the minister, who is currently recovering from a heart surgery, quickly forgot how the religious conservatives attacked him over al-Shehi Gate. Ah well, I guess he just has to give them something before the upcoming Riyadh book fair or they will start crying like little babies.
